History of the Florence Soccer Association

The FSA was formed in 1988 to provide a dedicated soccer club for the youth of the Florence community and surrounding areas.

In 1991, FSA Bylaws were adopted, providing stability in administration and rules of play.  In 1994, FSA incorporated as a fully private, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.  It has grown to more than 500 participants in recreational and select divisions.

FSA President

The spring soccer season is well under way and we are excited to see all the players having fun.  We appreciate the opportunity to serve the families in this area.  Anyone interested in joining our effort to promote and improve soccer through the Florence Soccer Association would be very welcome. We particularly need parents of recreation players to step up and help keep the recreation league running. The FSA board current only has four members who have kids playing recreation soccer. Recreation soccer takes up the bulk of the time of the board so it is important that more recreation parents come out and help keep the league functioning. Board meetings are the first Monday of each month. Contact any board member for more information. Enjoy the rest of the season.
