FSA Welcomes New Director of Coaching David McClure Florence Soccer Association is pleased to announce that David McClure has accepted the position of Director of Coaching effective May 1. David comes to FSA with a wide range of soccer experience. Dave played four years at Flagler College in Florida where he earned a BA in history. He also has a masters degree in business management from Webster University. David has served as a volunteer assistant coach at Francis Marion, U-17 boys head coach at FSA and, for the past 6 years, head boys varsity coach at South Florence High School. Please welcome David, and provide your support as he transitions into this role.
Congratulations U12 Girls Lightning!!!
The girls U12 Lightning team combined with six players from the Dynamite team competed at the Coast FA tournament in the girls U12 11v11 division and won 1st place. The girls had to play teams from NC, GA and PA to make it to the championship game. The championship game was a hard fought match that the Lightning team won 3:1. Coach Nicole and Coach Adrienna are very proud of this group of girls who only practiced 3 times together before playing on the big field 11v11 for the first time ever. The Lightning outscored the opponents 12:3 with three wins and one tie during all four matches.
